Oregon Summer
So we are LOVING summer in Oregon (which I’m told is really July – Sept). We’ve been biking and walking in the cool evenings, jumping on our new trampoline, hunting for starfish in the tide pools along the coast, touring local gardens, and we even went camping to Silver Falls last weekend and hiked up to and then behind two spectacular waterfalls.
The hills are so green and lush around us and seem to be filled with every type of produce imaginable. We’ve been eating a flat of fresh blueberries every week (that’s twelve very-full pints), raspberries, marionberries, and strawberries. The blackberries are starting to appear everywhere—no need to buy them, just stop along the road and start picking.
We’re grateful for this season of sunshine and rest and are enjoying God’s many wonderful gifts. Here are a few pix of our summer days:
