Dr. Falwell

Jerry Falwell is in heaven tonight, celebrating with the Savior he dedicated his life to over fifty years ago. I can almost see him slapping the backs of thousands of friends who came to know Christ through his ministry.

Jerry Falwell was the real deal—a man who gave his life to help hurting people and inspire the thousands of us who attended Liberty University with a vision to change the world. I only met him once, but he spoke to the students at least once a week during my years at LU. His message was simple—find out what God wants you to do with your life and then do it. Don’t get sidetracked. Don’t quit. Serve Him with your whole heart and your mind.

I'm saddened that we have to say goodbye to this passionate, loving, visionary, and funny man. Even though he is gone, his legacy will live on forever.
